Erica Hurley, M.A.
Counseling Psychology Doctoral Student
CPSY 420 Instructor
Ball State University

My name is Erica Hurley and I am a 2nd year doctoral student in the Counseling Psychology department. I completed my Master's here at BSU as well, and so this is year four in Muncie. And I'll be the first to admit that I'm A-OK with this town.

My research (and personal) interests include anything international. In terms of Master's thesis examined international training opportunities in counseling psychology programs. Short summary: There's a lot of talk about how important it is to incorporate an international training component in programs, but not a lot of programs are doing it. Dissertation topic tba.

On a more personal note....
Before Indiana, I lived in Austin, Texas. A fabulous, albeit very hot, place to be. And before Austin, I completed my Bachelor's degree at Oklahoma State University. Missouri before that. And between those places, I was lucky enough to see some other really cool places. I studied abroad in Holland. I completed my Divemaster training in Thailand. I worked at a ski lodge in Utah. Oh, and this summer my fiance and I spent a few weeks in Iceland. We're also planning our wedding for next summer in Grand Cayman. This photo is my inspiration:
